-To reduce cupboard dampness
Tie a dozen pieces of chalk together and hang them up in the cupboard. The chalk will absorb the moisture and help to prevent mildew. Replace with fresh bunch every few months
-Repel ants
Keep ants at bay by drawing a line around home entry points. The ants will be repelled by the calcium carbonate on the chalk. Scatter powdered chalk to around garden plant to repel ants and slugs.
-Remove grease spots
Rub the chalk on a grease spot on clothing or tablecloth and let it absorb the oil before brush it off. If the stain is still there, rub the chalk again before laundering.
